Sweden, Germany, or England?

Post by SMR »

Hey

So college is a lot more fun than I expected. Financial aid is almost full, I got a check the other day for $3000, that I really dont know where it came from. Doesn't cover all of the costs, but still.... Pretty awesome.

I can study abroad for a semester to a year. I dont think I really have enough units to do a second semester, but if I dont declare graduation, Im sure I can get financial aid to pursue the remaining science reqs for for grad school(and get AMERICAN credit).

Anyway, I'm looking at England, Germany, and Sweden. Has anyone traveled over there, or in Europe in general?

England and Germany are better jumping off points than Sweden.
England is more expensive.
Learning a second language surrounded by people that speak it fluently sounds easy, so Im looking at Germany a little more than the others.

I'm not rich. Im in debt. Most of this is thanks to good grades, financial aids, scholarships, and loans. I never thought the money would be there for school. Pretty sweet.

Jim, plenty of German blonds too.

Not sure yet MLK. Ill take a look. I'm going to the program orientation next week to see if I'm eligible for some without posted availability. What are the best areas of Germany? I can use that as a basis.

If I want elitist universities, England has a lot more to offer.

If I go to Sweden then http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uppsala_University

Upsalla is close to Stockholm so that's not a bad choice. I have relatives (that I've never met) in Upsalla, as well as other parts of Sweden, although I've never been. Good luck with whatever country you choose. Sounds like fun!
