There's some new names I don't think I have seen before - gonna try to check them out when I can. 8)

I've seen every movie on BullMoose's list except: Boondock Saints, Hot Fuzz, Layer Cake, Shoot em up, and Smokin Aces...

T2 listed a couple also I'm going to try to check out...

Blood Diamond looks cool - might check that out first.

Yes, Blood Diamond was good as was Hotel Rwanda.

"Blood Diamond" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0450259/
"Hotel Rwanda" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0395169/

Hotel Rwanda was a perfect movie to show how incompetent the UN peacekeeping forces are. Good intentions but....

I am not so sure you can compare those two movies T2... Hotel Rwanda was incredibly intense telling a story with Hollywood fashion... Blood Diamond had a documentary element to it which gave the story some background... good movie, but there werent any particularly excellent performances here... Hotel Rwanda on the otherhand... intense, shocking, horrid...

I wasn't comparing....just saying they were good. Only comparison would be the stories are both based in Africa.

And I do agree with Hotel Rwanda....intense, shocking, horrid. That sums it up. I think everyone should watch it, even if hollywood took some liberties in laying out a real life story.

I haven't seen Hotel Rwanda. But I must disagree, McShagger... while I usually don't like DiCaprio, he did an excellent job in Blood Diamond, and held his South African accent perfectly through the entire movie. He was nominated for Oscar Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role, but didn't win. Just my opinion... I should see Hotel Rwanda sometime.

This is a great thread. Keep it up.
