I like the claw a lot. Havent seen mappers use triggers since ut1.
It glitches a little though. I could get stuck in the button, or forced to crouch. Although, i dont mind to be honest.

Yes you did! I even took a screenshot but for some reason or another the screenshot folder does not show up in Vista (as it does in XP). The great thing about getting trapped is that people cannot shoot you from the outside when the claw is lowered. People can't even shoot you from the inside as well (the mesh used prevents all shooting inside). The only way out would be for someone to press the button again. Thus getting a manta stuck inside can actually be a benefit, since you can camp the opposing team's flag and block them from capping (granted that no one presses the button, which, in all likelihood, is probably nill). Mistral is a really fun map and the claw certainly adds an interesting, enjoyable, and humorous element to the game.

Mistral is finished and out of beta. There's a lot new.
Just in case anybody doesn't know how it works, the button that operates the claw is in the platform in front of each base.
CHANGELIST:
1. The big change is that the vehicles operate the button now, whether they're empty or not. The buggy collision box around the button is gone too.
2. The fences around the button are raised, so defenders have to go over there and clear it out in person.
3. Terrain is improved. Now it's roughly balanced, both sides get the same options. Holes in the maps are fixed.
4. There's a variety of new powerups throughout the map. Keep an eye out for the invisibility pickup.
To pick up these vials, do a side dodge off the concrete block for extra height.
5. Bot pathing is in. Bots politely won't grab the flag since it's inside a claw mesh, but they still run around everywhere. Flag doesn't disappear on its own when dropped either.
6. I heard a lot about the map being too bright and the sand having a lot of glare. Now there's a new sky, and more natural lighting that's easier on the eyes.
7. And finally, the biggest news in VCTF ever:
Yes, the vending machines actually work. They're very old though, so you might have to hit them to get anything out.
This was far and away the hardest thing to create in the entire map, but you'll surely agree that it was worth it.
