Norway
Maybe not the best fitting song there at the start. My thoughts are with those at Oslo and Utøya, to those who have suffered from this tragedy.

I thought Bean was referring to FB users...
(Not trying to derail, was for sure a tragedy and we are moving towards lowjacking everybody due to all the crap going on in the world /random observation/opinion)

Big Brother looms..... in all seriousness any government that tries to do that (at least publicly) can count on being removed from power fairly quickly.WarDad71 wrote: we are moving towards lowjacking everybody due to all the crap going on in the world /random observation/opinion)

Would recommend following the Norwegian peoples response to this. Betting they have more character than the derp derp crowd that disproportionately drives policy here.
Ex:
"While it is important to see this and remember what happened, it is more important to remember what happened next: 200.000 people turned up for a peaceful rally in Oslo tonight. To show that we will not let this change us.
The main message was "we will not succumb to hate, we will not seek revenge. we will work hard to secure our democratic core values".
(Oslo has a population of about 600.000, so 1/3 of the population turned up. There were similar rallies all over Norway. In my city, Trondheim, 20.000+ turned up downtown)"

@ Ghosted: Wow! I hadn't heard about the latter. Bean is impressed and feels it would behoove us Americans to strive towards a similar attitude.Ghosted wrote:Not sure if you're being ironic...$lacker wrote:Big Brother looms..... in all seriousness any government that tries to do that (at least publicly) can count on being removed from power fairly quickly.WarDad71 wrote: we are moving towards lowjacking everybody due to all the crap going on in the world /random observation/opinion)

Re: Norway
so you would support a big brother policy where the government could keep tabs on all people at all times? Sounds like the norwegian people wouldn't since they had a big rally to say they were gonna stay the course. maybe you missed the sarcasm about big brother.Ghosted wrote:Not sure if you're being ironic...$lacker wrote:Big Brother looms..... in all seriousness any government that tries to do that (at least publicly) can count on being removed from power fairly quickly.WarDad71 wrote: we are moving towards lowjacking everybody due to all the crap going on in the world /random observation/opinion)
