size of server

Hi all, I was wondering how hard is it to increase the number of players in server from 18 to more? because of my other side of the world location it is not often loads are on when I am but on my saturday afternoons the server is always full.Would love to be able to join during this time.

I was thinking of making it smaller, actually. I think that 18 is just about the limit. Any more and it might start bogging down.
