Faster and easier movement than UT. In-game editor that allows you to make maps cooperatively with others online. And a client-side netcode that has no lag whatsoever, even with 300+ ping. It's a really fun game that's free, check it out.

The bolts-only instagib ctf is an absolute blast, especially with the simplified quake-style bunnyhopping (just press forward and keep pressing jump key to move really fast). Great fun.

Sauerbraten is a very good game and i was surprised at the thread. The game has a huge mapping and modding community.

Since it uses the Cube2 engine, its has close ties with AssaultCube (Cube1) and the lead developer of sauer even works on AC from time to time.
