Re: Etchy-Scetch Is Down.
Just no luck here Looks like I'll be down again for a few more days yet.
The files I backed up from my HD was still carrying the Virus I'm trying to find
away to get rid of it but no luck yet, The virus is HTML/Framer
If you know away to get rid of it Please let me know otherwise right now I'm
Trying to save everything I need to keep then if I can't find a cure I'm just going
to wipe my PC and start over and hopefully it's gone.

Re: Etchy-Scetch Is Down.
F'N Virus anyway's Guess I'll be bk on sometime in the Future, Now my wife's PC has it
DOn't know how I haven't transfered anything, the only thing I can think of is that I had a
share Folder on mine and I opened the shared folder on the other pc but didn't click on anything just looked and closed it just to see how big the file was.
Who ever invented that Virus HTML/Framer I'm going to hunt them
down and take a Bat to there PC.
At least this time I know not to reboot the PC So I don't get locked out again.

Re: Etchy-Scetch Is Down.
I googled it and found this...
1) Download ATF Cleaner by Atribune from here and save it to your Desktop.
Double click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Check the boxes to the left of:
Windows Temp
Current User Temp
All Users Temp
Temporary Internet Files
Java Cache
The rest are optional - if you want to remove the lot, check "Select All".
Finally click Empty Selected. When you get the "Done Cleaning" message, click OK.
If you use the Firefox or Opera browsers, you can use this program as a quick way to tidy those up as well.
When you have finished, click on the Exit button in the Main menu.
For Technical Support, double-click the e-mail address located at the bottom of each menu.
This should deal with your original problem. The following will identify anything that may be still hiding on your PC:
2) Go here and click the Kaspersky Online Scanner button - I.E. is required for this scan.
•Read the Requirements and limitations before you click Accept.
•Allow the ActiveX download if necessary.
•Once the database has downloaded click Next.
•Click Scan Settings and check the "Scan using the following antivirus database" is set to extended, not standard, and then click OK.
•Click on "My Computer" and then put the kettle on!
•When the scan has completed, click Save Report As...
•Enter a name for the file in the Filename: text box and then click the down arrow to the right of Save as type: and select text file (*.txt)
•Click Save - by default the file will be saved to your Desktop, but you can change this if you wish.
Copy and paste the report into your next reply along with a fresh HJT log, run in Normal Mode, and a description of how your PC is behaving.
Note for Internet Explorer 7 users: If at any time you have trouble with the accept button of the licence, click on the Zoom tool located at the right bottom of the IE window and set the zoom to 75 %. Once the license accepted, reset to 100%.
3) Also, run HJT and click on Open the Misc Tools section.
•Click Open Uninstall Manager...
•Click Save list... and save it to your Desktop.
•Copy and paste the file uninstall_list.txt into your next reply.

Re: Etchy-Scetch Is Down.
Yeah I tried the First one Mr.Bean didn't resolve it.
I'll try the other's later then.
That's if my PC doesn't reboot for any reason.
Once it reboots you can't boot back up not even in safe Mode.
Thanks Bean,
Gambit

Re: Etchy-Scetch Is Down.
Well I think I found a Cure for the HTML/Framer Virus
I Used the ATF Cleaner by Atribune But it seemed not to do
any good then I used Ad-Aware and had found These 2 malware's
on my Pc
And after I deleted them and cleared out my Virus Bin AVG Anti-Virus Free
It was all good all day. off and on I was on the PC checking out the Net to see if
I could trigger the Virus, But No issue's and Did the same for my Wife's PC.
was all good now.
But I think I lossed some Files with some Programs on my PC so I'm going to Save what I
need and reinstall everything again for a fresh start and hopefully by time the weekend gets
here I can be up and playing some UT again........
