I was playing on your server last nite, as I do most nites, and was kicked for no reason. Most people know me and know that I don't break your server rules. What gives?

Users can be kicked/banned/removed according to the following criteria:

Reaction to insecurities: SessionBan
Reaction to blacklisted files and classes: SessionBan
Reaction to modified skins: Kick
Reaction to invalid render settings: Kick
Reaction to Temporary console commands: Kick
Killing General Shrek: Accused, Abused, & Annihilated

Hopefully you didn't commit the egregious crime last on the list. Doing so will trigger SHREK Detection, which itself will trigger big trouble in Little China.

In all seriousness, it looks like enough people in the game you were playing voted to kick you. It doesn't seem to be the doing of any admin or SHREK.

EDIT: Deleted advice about removing pic of unique ID, since such information (according to JimRimya) cannot be stolen and used against you.

What badasp said is correct, except the very last point. Most likely you were kicked by a kickvote by the other players. It happens sometimes, and most of the time its just a joke... nothing to worry about. If someone sees one kick vote, they'll follow just because. No worries, let me know if it happens again.

Regarding the unique ID: that's a hash of your CD key, it's called a GUID (global unique ID), and can't (as far as I understand) be used by anyone else. They'd have to reverse-hash it to get your key, but that's impossible (well, not totally, but for the sake of this, it is), so no harm can be done.

I looked at that round in the stats and there were only like 6 players total which would mean only 2 or 3 would have to vote to kick for it to happen.

For what its worth, I didn't think he was serious about being kicked. Was there a kick vote? I dunno.

He did fart though.

Maybe it was because he was haxxing?

I was there and wasn't invited to be a part of this kicking conspiracy.

Thanks for setting the record straight. A buddy of mine had his key stolen which led him to be banned from a server, and I assumed (incorrectly) that the thief got the key from something like the unique ID.

@Jim and Badasp : Thanks for the replies, clearly I am a retard (and was very tired last nite) and didnt see that I was kickvoted. I thought an admin had done it which made me kinda angry.

@Bean : FL is a clan of old ons friends and FL stands for a multitude of things, most of which I won't post on the forums, so if you find something you'd like it to stand for then just run with it.
