Seen any good ones lately or an oldie that might be a good watch?
Speed Racer - liked it. Was cool to see the hero not lower himself when tempted to join the big money corporation - but instead, stuck to his beliefs and principles. I didn't understand the negative feedback on it - I think it delivers as the Wachowski brothers intended. Kinda like Last Action Hero - think people went expecting something different and were disappointed. I thought it was a positive message movie and the action was fun.
Citizen Kane- Classic. Pulled it out of the old VHS library for a watch recently.

The gist I got from the reviews is too much CG.
As far as movies with me I love the foreigners...
some that I recommend plot wise:
- Cinema Paradiso - good Italian classic that opens up a world of nostalgia. Directed by Giusseppe Tornatore.
Amores Perros - this has a similar plot structure as Pulp Fiction's and takes place in the suburbs of Mexico... great soundtrack/plot by director Alejandro Gonzáles Iñárritu.
Amelie - very free spirited/go with the flow type movie. Audrey Tautou makes this movie for me she's just gorgeous in it.
I also love the work of Wes Anderson. He gives his movies a great artistic touch with the backgrounds and soundtracks that leave a good taste after watching them. Two main examples: The Life Aquatic, The Darjeeling limited.

Saw Bunny House over the weekend... It wasnt as funny as I was hoping it to be, but it was still pretty good and worth seeing... I really like Anna Feris... This was her first lead and she was great, however, I guess she works better as a supporting character. Loved her in Just Friends.

Good stuff all, especially V0id... Cinema Paradiso is one of my top 5 fave movies. How about Il Postino? That's a great one too. Here are some others that I've seen recently:
V for Vendetta - The Wachowski brothers version of the Graphic Novel. They did Speed Racer too.
The Apartment - Just saw this a couple nights ago. Jack Lemmon and Shirley McClaine, 1960. Excellent actors and story.
There will be blood - Excellent, worth the recent awards it received
Gangs of New York - Great story
Blood Diamond - A must see

I liked them all. No Country for Old Men was a little different that most mainstream movies but still was a good flick.
Looking forward to catching these soon....

Great picks all around. Jimmy, I've been recommended There Will be Blood. I'll have to check it out soon.
Cheney, if you like Stand by Me you might also like another classic that goes hand in hand with it: Lord of the Flies.
Those two movies really bring me back a few years.
