Old coins

Hello everyone just wanted to share my coin collection. My great grandmother left these coins to me before she died she went thew all the wars and travled any one got any coins of old? Btw the oldest one is a us penny dated 1827. Its the one the size of a 50 cent piece.

That's cool man. I recognized a couple of pesos in there. They're bronze colored in the middle with a silver perimeter. I've got a small collection (not as nice as yours). Oldest coin I have is a silver dollar... 1896 I believe. I'll post a pic later today.

BTW, I have a stash of pretty worthless stuff too... From my grandma, my dad and my personal travels. I have a lot of the same stuff you have. Your old Japanese stuff is older than the stuff I got. Neat collection to look at.

Grandparents and Great Grandparents are priceless and that includes anything that is passed down from them. I have an old quilt sown by my grandma.

And I agree with Belta. Metal on metal is never a good thing if you want to preserve the coins mint condition.

I actually have a decent little set of coins. I should find them and post them. I don't even know where they are, lol. I will look though. One of my favorite coins is the silver penny.
