It's been 12+ years since I got my first tattoo...and they weren't the best quality at all. So this is both to cover up the crap and the beginnings of a full sleeve. Feels good to get more.

8)

BTW....I'm not really as fat as I look.

Nice! That reminds me that my tats are pushing 20 years old! I love the feeling of a new tattoo... Are you putting vitamin E on it? Do they still recommend that?

I would assume so. Vitamin E is good for restoring skin. I used to have a bottle around that basically got used up on all my buddies motorcycle injuries...

And vitamin E is better than anything with petroleum jelly in it (vaseline, neosporin), as petroleum jelly will draw the ink out (or so I've heard).

At the shop they told me to use nothing but Neosporin and Neosporin cream. The "How to care for your new tattoo" sheet they gave me specifically says not to use vitamin e. It says- "Never use a friends alternative method to heal the tattoo. For example: No baby oil, no alcohol treatment, no mineral oil, no vitamin e cream, no mazola, no woldroot etc." I'll stick with the Neosporin. :)

I have no idea what kinda faucet it is....fuckin wierdo.

No label or anything. Just a red and blue dot for hot and cold. This is my moms place...staying here while on R&R leave.

~edit~

I just showed my mom this post and she goes "Hold, on I can tell you what kinda faucet it is." Then she rolled her chair over to the filing cabinet, looks around for a few seconds and goes "It's a Ambassador faucet". lol!!

Hmm, well, times must have changed. Yeah, I'd stick with what they told you. How long did that take, by the way?

I was in the shop for about 5 hours, 4.5 or so in the chair. A few smoke and piss breaks thrown in.

Neosporin?! that can cause damage the artwork. If you must...use the cream.
Cocoa Butter > Neosporin. The main thing is keeping the skin clean and moisturized.

I have the Kraken from the original Clash of the Titans on my right arm and a few others. I wanted to get the whole scene with Persius on Pegasus with Medusa's head and the Kraken turning to stone but my tattoo buddy said that it would be a full back piece. So I went with the half sleeve.

I'll save my back for a full on Viking Funeral. Rawr.

By the way...most of the people I knew that got them always used Preparation-H (seriously). Seems like that was the preferred cream suggested by Miami tattoo parlors.

Have no idea why...
