For anyone that's interested in game development, the Unreal Development Kit is now 'free'.

That is awesome news... Maybe you can write a new UT3 based on the UT2K4 engine, but looks like UT3.... and doesn't suck.. like UT3 sucks.. yah..

No really though.. I love it when companies do this. There are always one or two pretty fun games that get spawned from it.. Good stuff indeed.

If you do start working on a game and don't need any help, let me know. :D

Wow! Cool stuff! Different than the editor that came with the game. Seems to me like it's easier to use. I'm really suprised it free. I wonder what their plan is behind doing this. It's the game that flopped, not the engine. Maybe they're scouting talent or something. Anyways, nice find Ghosted. Thanks for posting this.

Yeah, that's nice! It's been a full two years since UT3 was released. It looks like you get the same stuff that comes with UT3, but now you don't have to buy it.

The game is not too old to get a community "refresher". That engine is capable of so many things its a shame that most the games don't show the full potential. I might actually open my dusty bins and pop in UT3....... .

Epic has added a bunch of video's here:

I mostly posted this for would be game developers and content creators. Epic's engine is best in class for what it does and you can learn a lot just by poking around their toolsets.
