I haven't played it. Valve makes it (they make the steam service too). From my understanding you fight waves of zombies with people. It's supposed to be really fun, but I've also heard it get's old after a bit (which is why I haven't picked it up yet).

I have it. It's intense but I can't seem to join any servers to play with other people. I'd def like to get a group together and run thru a level or two.

It's fun. Survival is hard. The sound design is awesome. The witch's sound indicator is creepy as hell.

Haven't really gotten into multiplayer versus mode.

this guy i play poker with on a daily basis, keeps telling me to get it, he lives in the UK and im trying to figure out how does he play on steam servers from the UK? do they also have there own steam servers or does steam have them combined?

he says the game is awesome and hes addicted to it i keep telling him to get 2k4 and ut3 at the same time.

how does people from the UK overseas play on the states servers? do they need special hardware or software?

isnt the wow game online based servers separate from the states?

sorry so many questions

steam is just a service to download games online instead of buying a physical copy because you don't want to keep track of discs. Steam does not Host dedicated gaming servers... that is up to the players just like UT... just like most games.
If you want to play someone in the UK in an FPS game yer just gonna have to find a server you all agree on and the ping difference is going to be lopsided most likely.. Unless you can find a server hosted that is equal distance between you two which might be hard cause there are no servers being hosted in the middle of the Atlantic ocean that i know of. Source games (half life 2DM, Counter strike source, team fortress 2, Left 4 dead) do not handle lag very well. Any ping in the 3 digits is basically unplayable.. It's not like UT were u can get buy with 100ms as long as UT comp is on.. If you have 100 ping in left 4 dead its pretty much unplayable

Our voice chat server is pretty active with people from all over the world (Romania, Portugal, Estonia, Russia, Brazil - to name a few) playing "other games". It's cool to meet people from all over da joint. Have had a couple hop in and mess with us in UT on occasion.

Back to topic: I heard the game is pretty cool - more fun with teamplay of course.

L4D is fun, but I can't play it for hours like UT. Same with TF2. I can play TF2 longer than L4D but still less than I can with UT. If you can get the games cheap, I highly recommend them.

PS - Don't let Id tell you otherwise.
