Yeah, it's too bad for sure. FileFront was great because you didn't have to log in to get a file, you could link directly to them, and it was super fast!

Bean, the first three sites you outline are general upload sites for anything... Not necessarily gaming-centric like filefront was. And the last one, fileplanet, requires that you make an account (albeit a free one) to download files.

Ziff Davis goes under and they said FileFront would be spared. (I guess only for a while)

Going to miss that site. Fast dependable downloads without the hassle of registering or unecessary typing. Also was the place for mods/patches/demos/etc everything you could think of. Time for a download spree - need to download all those stepmania/mugen files before they diappear.
