Was just reading about this. I always wonder if the people who cry "don't use AVs" are in fact themselves wannabe hackers spreading false rumors. Most crap comes from accidentally clicking something you shouldn't - I've personally never had a virus that I'm aware of - had my share of malware crap though via checking out supposed "legit" software that had it bundled in.

Yeah That's what I was thinking That someone is just crying Wolf just to
get some attention on this besides if you keep your updates updated on your virus
scanner and everything else sounds like you'd be ok anyways.
